🐟 Dive Overview
We begin the dive at the Buddhist Temple, the nickname for the impressive Torre del Sumidero of the desalination plant, resting at 16–18 meters. From here, we descend into a breathtaking underwater labyrinth of rocky canyons and winding corridors, carved into the seabed like an ancient stone maze.
As we follow these natural passages, we glide through heart-shaped arches and dramatic beams of light, creating the surreal sensation of drifting through a submerged cathedral. Mid-route, we arrive at a large cave with a unique door-and-window entrance, adding a magical and atmospheric highlight to the dive.
Throughout the route, it’s common to encounter nudibranchs, rays, cuttlefish, octopus, amberjacks, and schools of barracuda. The marine life is spectacular, yet the true protagonist of this immersion remains the incredible landscape, a world of sculpted canyons and natural architecture that defines the experience.
Although this dive can technically be accessed from shore, the approach involves navigating extremely sharp rocks and dangerous cliff edges—an option considered high-risk and unsuitable for safe diving operations.
At Bluewater Menorca, we access this site exclusively from our boat, ensuring the most comfortable, elegant, and professionally controlled experience possible, allowing divers to enjoy this exceptional spot safely and with complete peace of mind
