At the foot of the iconic Pont d’en Gil arch — one of the most photographed natural landmarks on Menorca’s rugged west coast — lies a dive that is both accessible and spectacular: the great wall beneath the arch. This site is a favourite among our divers and is usually the perfect warm-up immersion before the famous Pont d’en Gil Cave. Your adventure begins with a smooth, comfortable entry from our boat BLAUET, exclusively positioned in the sheltered bay. As you descend, a magnificent rock wall appears beneath you, dropping to around 22 metres. The clean verticality of the cliff and the deep blue below create that unmistakable “flying underwater” sensation — a magic moment every diver remembers. The route continues along this stunning underwater wall, where the mix of rocky structure, seabreams, groupers, pipefish, wrasse, scorpionfish, moray eels, octopus and swirling clouds of damselfish brings the landscape to life. With a bit of luck, even lobsters or passing pelagic species like tuna may make an appearance. As you progress, the proximity of the natural arch adds a unique visual element. Looking up from mid-depth, you’ll see the sunlight filtering through the opening — a rare, cinematic moment that only a few dive sites can offer. Then comes one of the highlights: swimming underneath the majestic arch itself. Gliding below this enormous rock window connects the surface world with the underwater realm in a single, unforgettable frame. Crystal-clear visibility, calm sea conditions, boat-only access and a maximum depth of just 22/23 metres make this dive ideal for all certified divers looking for an easy, relaxing yet incredibly scenic experience.
