Located just one minute from the harbour, Cala Murtar is a relaxed, shallow and atmospheric boat dive that begins by swimming through a natural arch, where beautiful backlight effects create a striking start to the immersion.
From there, we follow the seabed over scattered wooden remains of the hull, gradually reaching the heavier fragments of the vessel: the two masts, the engine, and part of the original cargo β cement bags that were being transported on the day of the sinking.
This is not a wreck dive in the strict sense β only fragments of the ship remain β but it is precisely this subtlety that gives the dive its unique charm and quiet magic.
Bluewater Menorca is the only dive centre that accesses this site exclusively by boat, avoiding any dangerous rocky entry and ensuring a safe, comfortable experience.
We are also the only centre that owns an original photograph from the day of the sinking, an image we proudly share with divers who experience this dive with us.
